Smith Cranes is invested in contributing to NZ renewable energy future.

In 2021 Smith Crane and Construction’s wind energy and heavy haulage team purchased a blade manipulator from Korea to enable wind turbine blades to be titled to a 60 degree angle to ensure efficient and safe delivery of components. Our in house engineering team then fabricated the manipulator to be fit for purpose in New Zealand conditions.
The blade manipulator was a significant investment for the business which enables us to provide high quality, modern services for our valued windfarm clients and ensure projects are being completed efficiently and effectively.
We have this technology available for windfarm projects nationwide.
